CoD: Warzone Fortune’s Keep Map Easter Egg

Call of Duty Season 4 is now live in Warzone, featuring the Mercenary of Fortune update, which introduces a brand new Fortress of Fortune revival map. This new small-scale Warzone map has a lot of areas to explore, and some Easter eggs have been uncovered. Here, we’ll guide you through these on your own.

Fountain Booty Easter Eggs

Fortune’s Keep’s Fountain is located at the Distillery, where you can manually pour some of your hard-earned cash into the Fountain for rewards. The more money the player asks for, the better the reward. For my attempt, I put $4,000 into the fountain. I get audio and visual cues that the Easter egg works, but the only thing I get is a heartbeat sensor device. It’s not a big deal, but maybe I just need to give it more cash for goodies like perks and points.

Spawn zombies, get perks

Spawn zombie tombstone on Fortress of Fortune

Another Fortune’s Keep Easter egg involves spawning a zombie in the Graveyard. In order to complete this quest, you will need to light three candles in and around the mausoleum in the area.

After all three candles are lit, you’ll get an audio prompt, which means you can go to the tombstone and receive a “Press F to pay your respects” prompt. There are several tombstones that look alike, but the one you’re looking for is shaped like the photo above, and it’s near the fountain in the cemetery. Interact and pay your respects to spawn an undead enemy. After you spawn zombies, you will receive a self-resurrection item drop bonus for killing zombies.

It’s definitely worth noting that this isn’t your typical Call of Duty zombie foe, as this Warzone zombie slams and is a total bullet sponge. It’s hard to kill him even with a decent assault rifle, so be prepared before spawning him. It looks like this Easter egg cannot be repeated, so it may only be earned once per game.

a secret vault

The third Easter egg requires you to collect wine bottles to open a secret vault. Collect two bottles from various rooms in Terraces and take them to the adjacent Keep POI. These bottles are usually found on tables and bookshelves around the room. You place them on the long dining table inside the fortress.

Getting into this area quickly can be tricky in a race where everyone is trying to kill you, and it can be a bit confusing to use internal stairs and ladders in such a massive building. The easiest way seems to be to take the ladder outside the building (the side closest to the terrace POI) and go up to the second floor of the fortress. From there, you should be able to quickly find the fortress’ dining area. In the center of the room is a long dining table with paintings and other objects on it. This is where you can place wine bottles, then turn around to find a secret passage that slides away from a shelf on the wall.

Inside the secret room, you’ll find loot such as legendary rare weapons, battle shields, score records, throwable weapons, and more. You’ll want to gear up quickly here, as the loot in this room seems to be going away pretty quickly.

In addition to Fortune’s Keep, Warzone’s main map is also getting some major landscape changes. Be sure to check out our full guide to Caldera’s new and updated POIs. There’s also a limited-time event currently in Warzone, where we detail all of the challenges and rewards for Mercenaries of Fortune.
