Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One Xbox One Version Delayed Indefinitely

Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One developer Frogwares has announced that while the PS4 version of the game is still expected to release on April 28, the Xbox One version has been discontinued indefinitely.
Forced to prioritize the PS4 version due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the studio is now offering a full refund to anyone who pre-ordered the game on Xbox One.
“We had to make difficult decisions about the Xbox One version of the game. Due to circumstances beyond our control, the Xbox One version of Chapter 1 has been delayed indefinitely,” Frogwares said in a statement. “To say the war has affected us would be an understatement of the decade. Putting our personal and spiritual conditions out of the way, from a production standpoint, the war has affected us a lot.”
Ukraine-based Frogwares added that optimizing the older Sherlock Holmes prequels was a bigger undertaking than the studio initially anticipated. We did a lot of “invisible work” to make sure the game ran smoothly on older consoles, including making visible changes to the city map by cutting some alleys and shortcuts.
Since the start of the war in Ukraine, the country has asked PlayStation, Xbox and esports organizations to stop supporting Russia. Multiple movie studios have stopped releasing new films in Russia, Apple no longer sells any products there, and the gaming industry has banded together to provide relief to Ukraine.
