3D Realms is teasing “some cool stuff”, it may be a prey-like co-op horror film Ripout
FPS publisher 3D Realms-recently released excellent retro shooting games Ion Fury, Graven and Wrath: Aeon of Ruin-kicked off the new year by teasing the “cool stuff” launched in February 2022. Fans immediately pointed out that the trailer is related to Ripout, a prey-like cooperative horror FPS-3D Realms may now be released next month.
If you have forgotten, the excellent portal sci-fi horror FPS Prey in 2006-the original version, not an immersive simulation restart-was actually released by 3D Realms. At the time, everyone was still looking forward to eternal destruction of the Duke is good. Sadly, “Prey 2” never appeared, and the copyright changed hands to Bethesda.
The new FPS 3D Realms just released a short trailer. It is not Prey but seems to be affected by Prey. Although the publisher did not mention its name, Twitter users immediately recognized it as Ripout-a single from Pet Game and cooperative horror FPS project game with “living pet gun”.
Ripout’s Steam page lists the developer as the publisher, so 3D Realms seems to have chosen it. Similarly, the game currently only has a vague “2022” release date, so the “February 2022” in the trailer may mean that it will be released sometime next month.
According to the website, the feature of Ripout is that mutants can adjust their bodies through “rogue technology and other smaller monsters”, procedurally generated levels can be played in 15-20 minutes-and one can fire. Or command the live monster gun to rush towards your enemies and tear off their implants.

Considering how many new 3D Realms games are first launched in Early Access-basically all of these games-it seems that Ripout can do the same. Either way, we will be sure soon.
