4X Games Humankind gets official mod, adds endless cosmic crossover
Before taking on Civilization with its venerable 4X game Humankind, French developer Amplitude boosted its credibility in the strategic realm with its “Endless” series of games. Endless Space, Endless Legends, and Endless Dungeon are all set in a single narrative universe that jumps across genres while all immersing themselves in a unique blend of fantasy and science fiction. Now, thanks to Amplitude’s official mods, you can find hints of an even stranger universe among humans.
Humankind’s official Endless mod lets you “discover the ancient ruins of the Endless universe on Earth and guide your civilization through a dusty world,” reads the description on the Humankind mod.io page. The mod adds 32 new narrative events, 30 beautiful illustrations, two new citizens, two new technologies, and more.
There is a new avatar Horatio that you can unlock while playing this mod, it also includes four infrastructures, a new curiosity, a new buildable area, two new national items and a new artificial wonder . It’s actually a free micro-extension or flavor pack, and it’s a good example of how powerful Humankind’s modding framework is.
