American Truck Simulator adds the International 9900i as part of a free update available today. The model is a lovely addition to the roster of in-game truck models, but it’s especially notable since the 9900i itself is no longer around – the International hasn’t produced it since 2017.
Here’s the developer’s sexy catalog description: “This truck has been built with all your needs in mind for style and performance. It starts with a high-horsepower Cummins ISX under the hood and delivers the brutality needed to tow the heaviest loads. Power and fuel economy, your bottom line will appreciate. Features like the signature Eagle interior, extra-wide bed, and easy-to-read gauges and switches make comfort no longer an issue. Whether you’re speeding down the highway, Still in polished chrome, one thing’s for sure – the International 9900i will be an eye-opener.”
The update introducing the 9900i is now live and you can pick it up at your nearest in-game dealer. As you might expect, there’s a range of bespoke options, allowing you to choose from a day cab, a variety of sleeper berths, different air filters and chimneys, and different interior looks.
The International 9900i dates back to the early 2000s, although it is a revised version of a model that has been around since the 1970s. Today, International’s flagship product is LoneStar, which was introduced to ATS in 2019.
