American Truck Simulator’s missing city means better roads

American Truck Simulator is getting a new California, which, as the developers previously explained, means the end of San Rafael. Once California’s next rework project comes online, a new city will take its place, which will ultimately lead to a more realistic and playful road network in the region. Today, the developers offer a new road layout.

“The main focus of this part of the rework is to get back to areas where the roads may not be geographically correct or represent the current standards we are now able to achieve,” the developers said in today’s blog. “With more tools to base on real-life references Creating more complex and realistic road networks, we can bring more realistic assets to roads. This includes new intersections, intersections, bridges, farming stations, rest areas, etc. Between major economic cities, drivers are now also Settlements will be encountered, which will become a common sight for players.”

Specifically, all intersections have been rebuilt, the US-37 to Napa Valley intersection has been rebuilt, there is a new area around the Carquinez Bridge, I-80 and I-580 merging is more realistic, and the Richmond Bridge landmark has been rework.

All of these changes should be made in the upcoming rework phase, but the new city that will replace San Rafael won’t appear until the next phase.

Texas and Montana will also be joining the ATS, so truck games are coming.
