Apex Legends regains control with warrior collection event

⌨️

Apex Legends is returning to control mode, but you have to play it while it lasts. As a limited-time addition to the Warriors Collection event, Control brings 9v9 mayhem to the game from March 29th to April 12th.

For the return of control, Kings Canyon, Olympus, and Storm Point will all feature and convert those areas to support an objective-based mode. It’s a respawn-based mode, and unlike Apex Legends’ main battle royale, players can use the map to their advantage. For example, Caustic’s lab allows teams to deliberately raise toxin levels and cause big problems for other teams when they try to grab a spot.

During the event, players can track their progress through the reward tracker, which contains 24 themed items. These include legendary skins for Ash, Octane, Horizon, and Lifeline, and unlocking all of these skins will unlock Crypto’s Biwon Blade heirloom bonus – heirlooms previously mentioned in a number of apparent leaks of upcoming season content.

A new Arenas map is also available during the event: Drop-Off. It is divided into interior and exterior areas, with sections for long-range specialists and CQC fighters, and a series of moving cargo containers can act as mobile cover while attempting to sneak up on enemies or provide unexpected traps.

The full patch notes for the Apex Legends event are below. In addition to content additions, they include balance changes to weapons, spawn rate tweaks, and numerous bug fixes.
