Assassin’s Creed Valhalla 1.4.2 is for Ubisoft, not you

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s next title update has been revealed, and it pretty much only contains a bug fix. Although you’ll have to download gigabytes, Ubisoft says “no major players face changes”. Instead, it appears to be mostly laying the groundwork for a bunch of new items in real-money stores.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s title update 1.4.2 will be released on February 1st at 4AM PST / 7AM EST / 12PM GMT. PC players can download 11GB. On Xbox consoles, it will be between 5GB and 6GB. On PlayStation machines, downloads range from 2.5GB to 3GB.

As the patch notes explain, the update will address “an issue that caused the loss of some HD textures.” And…that’s basically it. Ubisoft has already provided some preview images showing a few items that will hit the real-money store in the next few months, but any other upcoming changes are behind the scenes.

The next major release for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is Dawn of Ragnarok, a major expansion due out in March.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Title Update 1.4.2 will be released tomorrow: February 1, 2022.
