The next update to Featured Experiences in Battlefield 2042’s Portal will change how Featured Mode works, as well as changing the number and refresh rate of Featured Experiences. As announced on Battlefield Direct’s Twitter, the number of experiences that will appear at one time will be reduced from five to two, but the modes will now refresh twice a week instead of once.

This change will take effect from the next update on Thursday, March 24th, when Featured Modes will be updated to include 2042 TDM, 1942 vs 2042 Conquest, and Rush Hardcore. After that, the featured experience will be updated twice a week, every Monday and Thursday.

In the post, DICE explained that the reason for the change is to focus more on the game mode by reducing the number that appears at any one time. The Battlefield developers are also introducing a new Friday Night Battlefield experience, available 24 hours a day through portals every Friday, offering a new gameplay experience every week.

If none of the featured game modes pique your interest, Battlefield Portal also allows players to create their own by mixing maps, weapons, and vehicles from different games in the Battlefield franchise.

Despite strong sales, Battlefield 2024 has had a rough release period, with more than 120,000 players recently signing a petition for refunds. Although DICE has released some patches based on player feedback to address the issue, many players are still dissatisfied with the game.
