Core Keeper sales hit 250,000 copies in a week

The first week of Core Keeper sales, they looked pretty impressive. According to reports, the indie game that fused Terraria and Diablo helped it sell 250,000 copies in its first week.

Core Keeper has been a hit since it launched on Steam Early Access last week and was an immediate hit – peaking at 7,555 concurrent players on day one, which is great for an indie game still in development. Said to be very impressive.

Sales supporting Core Keeper have also been popular with the Steam crowd. On March 10, two days after its release, developer Pugstorm confirmed that the game had sold more than 100,000 copies on Valve’s storefronts — making Core Keeper “the best-selling digital game of all time” from publisher Fireshine Games, it said. Now, just a few days later, Pugstorm says Core Keeper has sold over 250,000 copies on PC – less than a week after launch, and the launch day discount is still in effect.

Pugstorm added: “Our community has responded very positively to us, and we’re very grateful to everyone involved in our adventure.” The team also said it’s listening to everyone’s feedback on the game, including “some great new ideas.” .

There are a lot of great building games out there on PC, so it’s nice to see a new one done so well.
