DnD XCOM King Arthur: A Knight’s Tale Exits Early Access Today
Indie developer NeoCoreGames has confirmed that strategy RPG game King Arthur: A Knight’s Tale will exit Steam Early Access today and launch version 1.0. The final release date for the DnD-style turn-based RPG has been pushed back many times, but it definitely came out today.
King Arthur: A Knight’s Tale is the action RPG Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – the next game from the developers behind The Martyrs, a dark fantasy game twist on the Arthurian saga, in which you actually play as Arthur’s nemesis Mordred , seeking to kill the king – “or what he became”.
The game had a successful Kickstarter campaign back in 2020 and launched in Steam Early Access in January 2021. The 1.0 release was delayed a few times, but now that NeocoreGames is sure it’s cracked, Arthurian Knight’s Tale is finally complete out of Steam Early Access later today – in fact, by the time you read this, it’s likely already in Published on Steam.
In addition to the full story campaign, version 1.0 includes 30 playable heroes covering 5 classes, 50 missions, 7 enemy factions and “premium” endgame content. It also features the “fully upgradable” Camelot Castle, and we’re sure you can make your own Monty Python and Holy Grail references.
You can check out PCGamesN’s preview of King Arthur: A Knight’s Tale at the link, and while protagonist Mordred is a bit of a tool, we’re calling it a “reasonable strategy RPG.”
