Dragon Fighting Tiger Chinese Game Exhibition kicks off today

This weekend marks the start of the first Enter the Dragon showcase on Steam, which will showcase more than a hundred games from Chinese developers in almost every genre imaginable, from city-building games to FPS games. The festival runs April 22-29, with a special kickoff event scheduled for tonight at 7pm PDT/10pm ET/3am GMT.

There are some familiar faces at the festival, such as action FPS game Bright Memory: Infinite and expansive industrial simulation Dyson Sphere Program. However, we also saw a number of games for the first time – SCP: Secret Files is an immersive simulation and puzzle game based on the long-running community speculative fiction website, while Outpost is a multiplayer FPS game that challenges you Bases can be built and defended in a tower defense/RTS hybrid.

The city-building game The Ballad of Red Leaves also caught our eye: a settlement management game set in the idyllic countryside of medieval China. You are a young lord who has recently acquired land title, and you must complete timed challenges in managing your territory to impress a group of stubborn judges.

Here’s the trailer:

Completing challenges allows you to expand your territory, and as you progress, your small village will grow into a vibrant, colorful community. Song of the Autumn Leaves is currently slated for release sometime this summer, and is currently undergoing alpha testing.

You can check out the Enter the Dragon event page on Steam to learn more about these games, and explore dozens of other games featured this week.
