Dying Light 1 gets next-gen patch to improve PS5 and PS4 Pro performance

The 2015 open-world zombie game Dying Light just got a major update for players on PS5 and PS4 Pro, just a month after the game’s sequel, Dying Light 2: Stay Human. The patch includes a new mode that takes advantage of the PS5’s performance boost and can be accessed in the game’s options menu.
The upgrade brings three new video modes specifically for the PS5 – an upgraded Performance Mode, Full HD 60fps, Balanced Mode, QHD 60fps, High Resolution Mode, and Full 4K 30fps. The patch also includes some small upgrades for PS4 Pro players, taking advantage of the upgraded last-gen console to increase the 30fps cap.
The patch is available now on PS5 and PS4 Pro, while the developer says the performance-enhancing update will be rolling out to Xbox “soon.”

For those who have already made it to the sequel, Dying Light 2: Become Human, developer Techland promises that a new patch for the game will be available soon. The ambitious game has rolled out numerous patches and bug fixes in the month since its release, but there are still more bugs and glitches in the game that players would like to see addressed.
