Dying Light 2 dev is “thinking hard” about new game additions

When Dying Light 2 released last month, the open world game had a lot going for it, but it still lacked some major features – including notably the New Game Plus mode. Now developer Techland has responded to a request for a Dying Light 2 NG+ mode to confirm that the team is “seriously considering” it.
After years of development, Dying Light 2 finally came out in February and proved itself to be a fun zombie game with a lot to do in its world. However, once the points roll, there’s no particular reason to do it all over again, as the only option is to play the event completely fresh, no different.
Techland has promised “at least five years” of post-launch support for Dying Light 2, and adds major new content — including multiple paid story expansion packs, similar to The following from the first Dying Light game. The developers have added some free DLC and updated the game with some major patches, and there’s more to come.
However, one of the most popular features is the New Game Plus mode. A player asked Techland directly about it on Twitter, and the developer responded that the mode “is an option we’re seriously considering,” but added that “it’s too early to commit to anything.”

This isn’t the first time a member of the Dying Light 2 team has spoken about audience desire for the mode. Lead designer Tymon Smektała admitted that “a lot” of players were “asking about New Game Plus” and asked his fans how they wanted this to work with Dying Light 2.
