Fun, Free, Three Years Old: It’s Time to Check Out Raid: Shadow Legends

Making it a field service game for three years is no easy feat. In a time when Raid: Shadow Legends has established itself as one of the mainstays of the RPG genre, plenty of hits have come and gone, and the game’s future has never looked brighter.

Developed and published by Plarium Games, Raid: Shadow Legends debuted in July 2018, bringing highly fantasy role-playing to mobile devices via Android and iOS. The game’s gorgeous graphics and in-depth turn-based combat system have captured the attention of gamers and critics alike, and the story-driven campaign by historical fiction author Paul CR Monk takes players on an immersive adventure across the continent of Teleria.

The campaign is seamlessly linked to the game’s multiplayer features, allowing players to play against each other in PvP arenas, or team up in clans to defeat fearsome clan leaders. It is through these features that players discover the depth of Raid Champions – the player character can be customized into over a million different builds.

There are over 300 heroes to collect and play, each with their own unique skills and development options. You can also combine champions to create new champions using materials obtained by completing different objectives in the various modes of the game. How you build your hero roster is up to you, but the key to success is experimentation and finding the right balance for your hero type.

Play for free

With Raid gaining momentum, Plarium partnered with a slew of online content creators to launch a savvy marketing campaign that made it a household name among gamers overnight. The game came to PC in January 2020, greatly expanding its audience and offering a whole new way to experience Raid. Best of all, it’s still completely free.

The PC version enhances the already impressive visuals, adding transformative features such as parallax occlusion effects, new character animations, terrain animations, motion blur, and unlocked frame rates. In addition to customizable graphics features, PC players can choose to inherit their progress and purchases from the mobile version of the game, and switch back and forth freely between the two versions without missing a beat.

join the raid

Getting started in Raid: Shadow Legends can be intimidating given the game’s already rich history – but fear not, it’s never too late to join the fray. The game is surprisingly easy to pick up, and thanks to the many innovations and improvements Plarium Games has made since its release, now is the perfect time to start creating a legend.

To help you skip some hassles, you can use promo code POWERSTARTER to access a starter pack that will help you progress through the early stages of the game. This loot drop includes 150 auto-battles and 150 power-ups to help you gain power faster. Additionally, you’ll instantly gain Epic Champion Thalia, the Magic Affinity Champion for the Holy Order faction. Tallia is a very powerful hero who will put you on the fast track to success in your early Raid adventures.

Play now and you’ll arrive in time to enjoy the upcoming 3rd anniversary celebration next month. The third anniversary event, hosted by the Character Arbiter, will take place on the game itself and on the official Raid: Shadow Legends social media pages. Plarium is also clearly working on adding new content to the game, so you can bet that the world of Teleria will only get bigger over time. All three-year anniversary events will end on May 14, 2022, so don’t delay – download Raid: Shadow Legends today.
