GTA 5’s most confusing mod comes to Red Dead Redemption 2
If you watch people on Twitch or YouTube playing Grand Theft Auto V, chances are you’ve come across the Chaos mod. Every 30 seconds, the mod triggers a random event that may hinder the player’s progress – sometimes all nearby vehicles will rumble, sometimes all the citizens around you will stop and dance. The mod also comes with Twitch integration, allowing those watching your stream to vote on what happens to you next. Now, though, a modder is bringing a similar experience to Red Dead Redemption 2.
Shdel’s aptly named Chaos mod for Red Dead Redemption 2 activates random effects every 45 seconds. Many of these look familiar, but I still encourage you to check out the full list. If you’re unlucky, there’s a good chance a pig farmer will show up to kidnap you, or a giant donkey might lay eggs and start wandering around.
Just like the Chaos mod for GTA 5, this mod also comes with Twitch integration if you want to put control in the hands of the chat room. Still, cool if you want to go on a wild ride in Red Dead Redemption 2.

The mod’s release comes as some Red Dead Online fans are unhappy with the pace and quality of Rockstar’s game updates. Fans expressed their dissatisfaction on Twitter, #SaveRedDeadOnline Become a common sight on social media platforms.
This isn’t the first time fans have expressed dissatisfaction with the game’s update schedule, though, with a group of players teasing Rockstar in 2020 by dressing up as clowns.
Still, players are finding ways to play one of their favorite games. In addition to Chaos mods, Red Dead Redemption 2 modders have created their own undead nightmare content, adding features like a companion and job system. There’s also a thriving Read Dead RP scene if you’re into role-playing.
