Halo Infinite campaign co-op update, Forge slightly delayed
You’ll hear more about 343 Industries’ campaign partnership plans and plans for Forge in Halo Infinite soon. Creative director Joseph Staten told fans on Twitter that the roadmap is a priority for the team and will be updated “as soon as possible” once the team can provide a roadmap you can “rely on”.
Staten explained that the team missed its January goal of delivering updates on Halo Infinite’s seasonal roadmap, campaign co-op, and Forge because it needed more time to finish planning so it could share what it could deliver. “This work is my number one priority, and we’ll update it as soon as possible,” Staten said.
Staten initially explained last year that Halo Infinite wouldn’t be released alongside the campaign co-op or Forge because they both require more time in the oven. The plan is to release the campaign collaboration in season two, and then Forge in season three. That means we should see both in this year’s Halo Infinite, although exactly when it remains to be seen.
In other Halo Infinite news, the CyberShowdown event is drawing to a close, so the limited-time consumption mode is taking a breather. However, the developers know there is a lot of interest from players and are considering plans to make it a permanent fixture.
Hey guy.In November, I said we’d have one #haloinfinity Updates to our seasonal roadmap, co-op mode and Forge in January. We need more time to finalize our plans, so we’re sharing something you can count on. This work is my top priority and we will update as soon as possible.
