Halo Infinite devs tease a consumption-only playlist
🖥️
Halo Infinite’s CyberShowdown event has ended, and the limited-time consumption mode has also ended. But players really like Attrition. like, real. The developers at 343 Industries are aware of this and are currently deciding how best to bring the mode back to regular rotation – perhaps with a consumption-only playlist.
“The team will bring back Attrition in a more consistent way, such as its own playlist or part of a new playlist,” said multiplayer designer Andrew Witts Twitter“Thank you for playing and giving feedback on its debut. We love the mode too, and we’re excited to see such a positive response to it.”
Attrition is actually a more intense version of the traditional Slayer team deathmatch. You kill your opponent until their life runs out, but in the last set of lives you don’t die instantly when you are knocked down – instead, your teammates can revive you. That kept the comeback potential strong and the whole game felt high-stakes.
Currently, Fracture: Tenrai returns on February 8, giving you a week to upgrade your samurai armor set.

Thanks for playing and providing feedback on its debut. We love this model too, and we’re glad to see a positive response to it.

While Halo Infinite’s core gameplay has dwindled, the modes and live service elements introduced by multiplayer have been less popular. The developers recently announced plans to change store prices, and a fix for the big-team battle mode has been in the works for a while now.
