Intel Arc Alchemist GPUs may include Radeon RX 6400 rivals

The Intel Arc Alchemist GPU lineup could feature additional entry-level desktop graphics cards with specs apparently matching the recently announced AMD Radeon RX 6400. According to reliable hardware leaker Enthusiastic Citizen, the A310 will be the range, using 4GB of GDDR6 memory.

Newest Intel Arc Alchemist GPU The leak places the A350 below the A380 in the lineup, a graphics card said to have 6GB of VRAM and eight Xe cores. In a sense, the lightweight blue-team contender is the successor to Iris Xe, who debuted in 2020. While this might not appeal to enthusiasts looking for the best graphics card, it offers another option for a modern low-spec graphics card, the Radeon RX 6400 and above gaming PCs.

The AMD Radeon RX 6400 crept into the GPU space this week, with AMD comparing the card to the likes of the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 and GTX 1050 (via Videocardz). Like the AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT, its lower-spec counterpart faces similar issues, as it only supports four PCIe 4.0 lanes. On the positive side, you don’t need the best power supply to boot the RX 6400, as its 53W TDP means it can draw power from your motherboard.

As with all GPU leaks, you should probably take this Arc Alchemist A310 chip rumor with a grain of salt. If entry-level graphics cards are on the horizon, it may want to move on, as the next-gen Nvidia RTX 4000-series graphics cards, released later this year, could make Intel’s budget offerings obsolete.
