Intel Arc Alchemist GPUs may not arrive until late summer

The Intel Arc Alchemist laptop GPU has arrived (sort of), but the blue-teamed contender for the best graphics card has apparently been delayed. According to reliable leaker Enthusiastic Citizen, the company’s gaming PC solution may not arrive until early Q3, casting doubt on its initial early summer 2022 release date.
Spotted by Wccftech, the latest Intel Arc Alchemist leak isn’t all bad news, as it also revealed a bunch of potential specs. Enthusiastic Citizen’s rumors paired the A770, A750, A580, and A380 with performance speculation, while hinting at what the limited-edition status of the high-end GPU might mean.
The leaker claims the A770 could be on par with the Nvidia GeForce RTX RTX 3060 Ti, but hints that the limited-release card could feature enhanced specs. In terms of memory, the unlimited model appears to include 8GB or 10GB, which likely means it will use less VRAM than the mobile version. That said, the A770M’s specs could still change, especially if it’s delayed alongside its desktop counterparts.
As for the rest of the unannounced Arc Alchemist lineup, the leaker points out that the A750 and A580 should come with 8GB of VRAM, while the A380 could be a “sweet card” that can stand up to the AMD Radeon RX 6400. Those specs suggest Intel is trying to cater to lower-spec PC gamers, but the performance of its first wave of gaming laptop GPUs suggests it may struggle to keep up with Nvidia’s offerings.

As with all rumors, you should take the delayed release and potential specs of Intel’s Arc Alchemist desktop series with a grain of salt. Still, if Blue Team’s dedicated gaming PC cards do arrive on the scene early in Q3 2022, they may arrive before Nvidia’s RTX 4000-series and AMD’s Radeon HD 4000 cards, as rumors suggest that both companies are Probably the scene this September.
