Microsoft finally updates taskbar overflow in Windows 11

⌨️

In the four months since Windows 11 was released, the operating system has received multiple bug fixes and features. However, there’s still a lot of work to be done to perfect it to perform at its best, and it looks like Microsoft is about to fix a longstanding problem with the Windows taskbar.

Twitter users exploring pre-release builds of Windows 11 Pro Book has been published Found out that Microsoft is changing the way the taskbar handler overflows. Currently, when there are more open apps than there is space in the taskbar, they are grouped into a single slot, and they can’t be easily selected individually. The user will now be able to cycle through everything in overflow via a clickable popup button (as shown in the image below.)

This will undoubtedly help casual and power users manage multiple apps, especially on lower-resolution monitors that leave less room for the taskbar. However, earlier we encouraged running as few programs as possible to maximize system performance.

Welcome to the new features, no updates on several performance issues that continue to plague Windows 11. AMD and Microsoft have not provided a timeline for when Ryzen processor stutters caused by TPM requirements will be resolved. Reports of these issues date back to July 2021, and it is disappointing that they have been ignored.

An improved taskbar app list overflow experience is in development.
Many people complain about the basic way of keeping a slot for an app that doesn’t fit and changing its contents as you switch between them.

As more and more Steam users continue to upgrade their Windows 10 systems, we pray that Microsoft doesn’t make the Ryzen Gaming PC wait too long. Hopefully, later this year, Zen 4 CPUs won’t have the same problem when they arrive.
