“If Activision Blizzard recognizes the union, Microsoft will not stand in the way,” a company representative told Axios in a statement. “Microsoft respects the right of Activision Blizzard employees to choose whether to be represented by labor organizations, and we will honor those decisions.”

Amid protests over the layoff of more than a dozen contract workers at Raven Software’s Warzone QA division, employees announced the Game Workers Union in January. Activision Blizzard did not respond to workers by their proposed deadline, telling The Washington Post that “unfortunately, the two sides were unable to reach an agreement.”
