I don’t think I’m the only one who says we want our games to look their best when played on our TVs. Usually, the best means it will cost you. Thanks to the 55-inch TCL 6-Series Mini-LED QLED 4K TV for just $700 at Best Buy, we can see the glory of 4K gaming without emptying your bank account.

This TCL 6-Series TV already offers quite a few 4K Mini-LED QLED TVs for the regular price of $950. If you’re looking to future-proof your current gaming TV, the $250 discount makes it a breeze.

Right off the bat, its native 120Hz panel ensures you have very smooth gaming at 4K. It even supports VRR (Variable Refresh Rate), which should help prevent screen tearing and artifacts. Think of it like G-Sync or FreeSync, except game consoles.

A pair of HDMI 2.1 ports means you can easily play games at 4K and 120Hz on PS5, Xbox Series X or even your fancy PC. If you’re on a PC, you should have a GPU that can handle 4K gaming, such as an RTX 3080 or Radeon RX 6800.

The picture quality of this TV’s VA panel is no less impressive, with impressive brightness (which should help eliminate glare), color gamut, and decent blacks. It also supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, letting you watch all your favorites on Netflix or Hulu pop.

I mentioned earlier that it should support your games and your PC, no problem displaying games at 4K 120Hz, the only problem is that only two of the four HDMI ports are HDMI 2.1, which means if you have multiple consoles and one game PC, you have to do some port swapping if you want to display all those extra frames.

As much as I love this TV, it’s not perfect. When you compare it to other TVs like the LG C1, the TV itself is a bit rudimentary. It looks like other big budget TVs like Vizio or Spectre. The TCL 6-Series local dimming is nowhere near as good as more expensive TVs you can buy. But honestly, for everything you get for $700, you can probably make some compromises.

Oh, and don’t worry if 55 inches is too small for your taste. Best Buy is also selling an extra-large 75-inch version of the same TV for $1,200, $1,000 less than its regular price, and you can mount it on the wall like a scary Picasso or something.
