Pokemon Go April 2022 plans include multiple events, new raids, and new legendary Pokemon
Niantic has revealed its Pokemon Go plans for April 2022, which will feature multiple weekly events, raids, and Pokemon Spotlight Hours throughout the month.
Four limited-time events will run throughout the month, each with its own central theme:
- April 1: April Fools 2 – Oh? -twenty two
- April 3-7: Full Rocket Retreat
- April 12-18: Spring to Spring
- April 20-25: Sustainability Week
Tapu Bulu came to Pokemon Go in April as a five-star raid.
Multiple Legendary Pokemon will have five-star raids throughout April, including Tapu Bulu’s next Alolan Legendary and Thundurus and Landorus’ Therian Formes. The schedule for the April raids is as follows:
Raid hours will also continue in April, with a special Raid Hour highlighting specific 5-star Raid Pokemon every Wednesday from 6pm to 7pm local time. The list of featured Pokémon is as follows:
- April 6: Thundurus Therian Forme
- April 13-20: Tapu Bulu
- April 27: Landorus Therian Forme
Finally, the Pokemon Spotlight Hour will take place every Tuesday from 6pm to 7pm local time, with a different Pokemon appearing more frequently in the wild each week and offering special rewards. Here’s a rundown of the high-profile Pokemon and bonuses:
- April 5
- Pokemon: Smelly
- Reward: Double the amount of candy you get when transferring Pokemon
- April 12
- Pokemon: Bonnellby
- Reward: Double the amount of XP earned by evolving Pokemon
- April 19
- Pokemon: Weird
- Reward: Double the amount of Stardust for catching Pokemon
- April 26
- Pokemon: Sunshine Form Sherim
- Reward: Double the experience points for catching Pokemon
Pokemon Go’s April 2022 event schedule will begin near the end of the current event, Lush Jungle. If you’ve completed all the activities before the start of April and need some extra challenges, try taking on the current 5-star team Tapu Lele or Mega Charizard Y in Mega Raid.
