Sci-fi thriller ‘Deliver Us Mars’ looks bleak, but has a robot sidekick

Deliver Us Mars, the sci-fi puzzle sequel Deliver Us The Moon, released a new trailer at the Future Games Show Spring Showcase: it looks bleak. A two-person capsule was torn apart on the red earth, while shaky cameras explored the wreckage. Hissing, no pilot in sight, everything looked bad. Pan the camera up and you see a lone astronaut pacing the landscape until they stop to see a Wheatley-like robot blink and start. It’s cute, but I can’t help but think it’s not going to be a pleasant escape from Earth.

Deliver Us Mars looks to be some sort of sequel to KeokeN Interactive’s 2020 puzzle-action game of the same name. In the first game, you piece together a mystery on the moon to save the planet from an energy crisis. The game has its own robot companion that you control from a first-person perspective to dig deeper into the mystery.

Presumably, you will do the same thing in this game. The trailer doesn’t show any gameplay, but the whole thing is captured in-game. The trailer ends on an ominous tower in the distance, where there may be a lot of emails to read and doors to open.

The Netherlands-based developer released Deliver Us The Moon in 2018 after a successful Kickstarter. The game was then pulled, redesigned to include its DLC, and re-released a year later with support for ray tracing and DLSS and other tweaks to the game.

Deliver Us Mars has no release date, but it will be released on the Epic Games Store and Steam.
