The official Terraria wiki is about to lose its “official” moniker, as the developers of Re-Logic have just announced a new version of the game’s digital encyclopedia. The developers announced that they are working with Freedom Games to make terraria.wiki.gg the new official source of sandbox game information.
The new official Terraria wiki is live and already contains all the information from the old wiki. “Re-Logic has long wanted to further build on a more universal look and feel across the various sites and ways our fans interact with Terraria,” the developers said in the announcement. “So we do this by leveraging style elements from our website and forums.”
In fact, Re-Logic now has a closer relationship with the wiki’s owner. This means that changes to the wiki are more likely to be made based on community feedback, and information about new updates may be included sooner. You’ll also find the new wiki’s ads are less obtrusive.
“As in the past, Re-Logic doesn’t get any (income, etc.) from the wiki,” the developer said. “Our involvement here is to maximize the Terraria fan experience.”
Existing wikis run by Fandom will also continue to exist. “We don’t have any issues with that and think it’s still a great extra option for people.”
If you missed Terraria’s final update, the second final update, or the most recent final update, there’s another final update to look forward to, plus another that came out a few weeks ago.
