Why Henry Cavill Loves to ‘Cry All Day’ on the Witcher Set
🌐
Season 2 of The Witcher has been on Netflix for a while now, but the drips of interviews and behind-the-scenes information continue: This time, the strong Henry Cavill (Geralt) and Kim Bodnia (Vesemir) ) discusses the interplay between their characters. Vesemir was Geralt’s mentor and father figure, and one of the only survivors of the Kelmohan attack that wiped out most of the wizards.
As it turns out, Kim Bodnia has the perfect background for playing Vesemir. “I’ve lived in the forest for 20 years,” Bodnia told Cavill, “and you say ‘you are Vesemir’ when I tell you about my funny trips and what it’s like to be truly alone.”
Grab your hats, folks, because we’re about to get some casting moments.
“I’m training a new way to cry every day,” Bodnia said. “That’s why I have to travel in my life because you don’t know if there’s more to cry about.”

“I have this thing, yes, absolutely. Once I’ve used something, I’ve used it,” Cavill added. “Then I dealt with it, I dealt with it emotionally because I was crying all day on set.”
“When I’ve been on this kind of travel, it’s like my body is getting fitter,” Bodnia said. “So I always think that being an actor is also healing yourself, like being a better person. I think the most important thing for me is to be a better person every day.”
The pair also discussed their on-camera connection as Cavill wanted to make Geralt more emotional in the show’s second season, with Cavill hinting that some shooting scenes of this nature didn’t come up.
“These [are] Two very dangerous people,” Cavill said. “I know in some scenes they didn’t make it, but the softness we brought to the connection, just laying our heads on each other’s heads, was very Meaning, because you can’t be true or false. “
I think the show is pretending, really, but fair enough: the two go on to discuss how they approached a scene in that regard, which I won’t mention because it might be a bit of a spoiler, but the full thing is more than that.Brother Train Won’t Stop Anytime Soon: Production on Season 3 of The Witcher is underway
