All Chrono crossover endings and how to unlock them
You can unlock nearly a dozen Chrono Cross endings, ranging from sinister, sentimental, and pretty much everything in between. You’ll only be able to access a few of them the first time, and getting the others requires some planning. However, if you’re playing the Radical Dreamers edition, if you want the Platinum trophies, you’ll need to get them all.
How many endings does Chrono Cross have?
Chrono Cross has at least 11 endings, but you can only access most of them during New Game+. You can choose to fight the final boss, the Time Eater, at any time after you clear it once, and winning the fight at certain points in the story will trigger new non-canonical endings – one of which is that technically it’s just a joke, the ending is You chat with the game developer’s version of the NPC.
How to get the true ending of Chrono Cross
The real ending takes some work and involves the Chrono Cross project itself.You need to use it in the battle with the Time Eater, but only in Cast each type of element in some pattern. It’s a good idea to equip low-level elements to shorten the casting time and avoid any interruptions. The order you need to follow is:
- yellow
- Red
- green
- blue
- Black
- white
Defeat the Time Devourer immediately after using the Chrono Cross. However, if you are interrupted, you will have to start the process all over again.

magical dreamer
If you have Nikki and Razzly on your team, and beat the Time Devourer without going to Fort Dragonia, this is the ending you’ll get, although the “end” might be a little far-fetched. Leena and Lisa attended a concert performed by Serge, Nikki, Razzly and Kid, and that’s it.
pride and honor
Defeat the Time Eater After rescuing Riddle for the first time, but before returning to the hermit’s retreat. In this ending, with Sergi still in Lynx’s body, the Dragoons assemble to join Lynx in action, and the scene ends with Kidd and Hal fighting.
True Heroes and True Heroes alternate endings
There are two variants of this. The first trigger, if you dDefeat the Time Devourer while Serge is still poisoned After Viper Manor, if you defeat the final boss, the second After the child is healed, but before visiting Fort Dragonia. Both endings are similar and follow Kid, Serge, Pierre, and a few others as they play different roles after the final battle.

You’ll find a note in the Throne Room at Viper Manor directing you to the Cursed Isle. Battle Salter and Pepper to get the souvenir pendant from them, then have Riddle join the team to fight Daario on the forgotten island.
When you’re done, head to Opasa Beach to fight the Time Eater. General Viper opened an orphanage, but it wasn’t all sunshine and roses when Dark Serge showed up.
evil deeds
This ending is triggered if you defeat Schala before completing Terra Tower and then fight the Time Eater. The sage helps summon a dragon to destroy humanity before it can go on to kill the earth.
developer room
Use the Time Egg to instantly fight the Time Eater at the start of a New Game+ run, using only Serge. You’ll end up in an NPC room named after the development team, who mention anecdotes about the game’s development.
