Best LEGO Games: The Skywalker Saga joins the list
The LEGO game series as we know it today has existed since 2005, when LEGO Star Wars was released. Since then, developer TT Games has created more than 20 LEGO-based action-adventure games based on popular IPs from Star Wars, Harry Potter, Marvel Cinematic Universe, Lord of the Rings, and more. Until recently, all the games in the series were very similar. But The Skywalker Saga changes that with improved combat, deeper exploration and puzzles, and a massive roster that offers plenty of gameplay. We’ve rounded up the best LEGO games of all time. While this list isn’t ranked, The Skywalker Saga has a good argument for the top spot.
Lego games are great fun for the whole family, and they also happen to be available on most modern platforms, whether you’re playing on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, or PC.

Over the years, LEGO has straddled all major movie assets, offering witty adventures in their respective universes, but breaking the gaming barrier to interact with industry bad boy Grand Theft Auto?That No It takes place in 2013, but you can’t help but watch Lego City Undercover and see a game that pays homage to Rockstar’s legendary crime sandbox. However, LEGO City Undercover is a more family-friendly approach to the GTA formula, building a city worth exploring and taking the time to build an original LEGO property in the process.

In an age where all forms of entertainment are crossing invisible barriers to form almighty virtual worlds, LEGO Dimensions is a natural progression for the series. Toy-to-life games like Skylanders and Disney Infinity were all the rage in the 2010s and can’t be missed, with Warner Bros. Interactive pushing into the market. For a while, Lego’s presence made it one of the best in the genre. It may be a bit late to the scene, but it’s still an impressive feat.
If you want to see what happens when The Lord of the Rings collides with Scooby-Doo, or if an episode of Ghostbusters meets The Simpsons, LEGO Dimension has you covered. Combining the four-movie series of the time into one package and getting very close to their plots, this is a Lego game that emphasizes exploration over combat.

LEGO’s Journey to and from Middle-earth is perfect for anyone who wants a pure fantasy adventure without worrying about dangerous bladder pressure along the way. While Peter Jackson’s film is a feature-length epic that redefines the blockbuster saga for modern cinema, LEGO tells the classic tale of a trip to Mordor in a very lighthearted highlight. All the best moments from the original movie trilogy are intact, combined with tried-and-true gameplay. The end result is a familiar but entertaining riff on one of Hollywood’s greatest movie franchises.

The best LEGOs have always been about seeing how far your imagination can take you, and LEGO Worlds executes that idea in a way that gives players virtually unlimited access to the building blocks of their dreams. Clearly inspired by Minecraft, Lego Worlds never managed to topple Mojang’s blocky juggernaut from its throne, but there’s no denying that this particular entry in the Lego set is a colorful and ambitious sandbox with regular updates for free DLC.
Even in its current form, LEGO World is still worth a visit, purely for the enjoyment of having a giant toy box to play with without having to worry about cleaning up afterwards.
