Carrian’s Phalanx is a spell that requires 34 Intelligence to cast. It summons countless magical flash blades that fire at enemies when they get close to you at a certain distance. This makes it a great option to cast before getting too close to an enemy so that the blade hits them while casting other spells, maximizing damage output.

Carrian’s Phalanx can be purchased from the Serruvis Mentor in Serruvis Highlands in Lake Runia 6,000 runes. To get to this area of the biome, you’ll need to fight through the Carria Manor in the north, defeat the boss there, and leave the back of the manor.
Rise of Seluvius
Seluvius must first be spoken to in his ghostly form in Ranney Heights, the westernmost tower in the area behind the estate. After talking to him during the quest, you will be able to find him in his own tower in the south of the area behind the manor.
Here, Seluvis will ask you to give the potion to Nepheli Loux. The decisions you make will be linked to a larger quest, but your goal of getting the Karian Phalanx is just to make one of those decisions and return to Seluvis.
Once you decide what to do with your potions situation, Seluvis will give you a store with some exclusive witchcraft. Among them is the Carrian Square, which can be purchased for 12,000 runes.
notes: Alternatively, you can wait until you complete Ranni’s lengthy questline, at which point Seluvis will die and you can get his bell sign at Seluvis’s Rise.
