Frostpunk devs show off these changes at PC Gaming Show

Frostpunk and This War of Mine developer 11 Bit Studios showed off its latest game, The Alters, at the PC Gaming Show. While the trailer doesn’t show any gameplay, it does establish the game’s core philosophy of focusing on Jan Dolski, a worker facing circumstances that will bring him to a life-changing crossroads.
After crash-landing on a distant planet, Dolsky creates an alternate version of himself to help him survive. Due to the different decisions he made in his life, each Alter displayed different skills and personality traits. 11 Bit Studios describes the game as focusing on tiny binary decisions that typically happen within nanoseconds but have the potential to affect the entire life cycle.
“These are not clones. They are variants. Alternative versions of the same person,” explains Alters game director Tomasz Kisilewicz. “Everyone has different skills that are necessary to be successful, but the player must take care of each of them. Each of them has a unique personality that stems from their unique life paths. How those life paths develop and how these relationships are built— – It all depends on you as a player.”
When the game hits PC, players will be able to investigate a mystery through each Alter’s unique lens, although an exact release date has yet to be finalized.
