Madden NFL 23 Closed Beta Now Available, Here’s What’s Included

Madden NFL 23 will be released in August, but some fans can start playing the game right now through closed beta testing. The test includes a range of game modes, including Play Now and H2H Ranked, with more to be added later, including The Yard, Franchise, and Ultimate Team, among others.

This is a closed beta, so fans will need to get the code from EA to get in. Anyone selected to participate in the beta is prohibited from recording, streaming and capturing video/images. Those caught doing so will be removed from testing and face “total” bans from all Madden NFL accounts.

Codes are being sent out in waves, so EA Sports advises players to keep checking their emails for codes if they don’t receive them right away. Unfortunately, new registrations for the beta version are now closed.Additionally, players can follow @EAMaddenNFL There is a chance to get the code.

Madden NFL 23 launches August 19th (or August 16th with EA Play) with the late John Madden on the cover. One of the biggest new features in the game this year is Fieldsense technology, which promises to up the ante when it comes to authenticity. Madden NFL 22 beta represents an incomplete and unfinished version of the game, as such, it has various known issues, while player ratings are “scrambled” and not final.

Madden NFL 23 Beta Known Issues

• Aerial collisions at capture points are not triggering frequently enough
• Man Coverage defenders often play fakes when covering Curl and Comeback routes
• HB Slip Screen not working due to too long RB delay
• Aggressive catch mechanics do not respect player input in certain specific situations
• The effect of player ratings on skill-based passing is not final
• When the user releases the LT, the skill-based transfer reticle bounces back so the user cannot place and leave it
• Bottom zone defenders break too fast on mid and deep lanes
• Pass Rush Non-Engaged Super Win animation triggers too frequently on All Pro and All Madden
• Catch sometimes does not sync properly when throwing to Tight Ends on a flat course
• Defenders sometimes obstruct receivers from catching the ball while playing and do not play the ball
• Running backs sometimes get stuck on routes and don’t play evasive or chip block animations

EA Sports is conducting this test to gather feedback, and the developers are asking players to send bug reports and other feedback on the Madden Voice website.
