Nintendo GBA emulator for Switch Online has leaked – report
Details about the Game Boy and Game Boy Advance emulators for the Nintendo Switch have reportedly leaked online, along with a long list of games that have allegedly been tested on the software.
as found Twitter user Trashbandatcoot, files containing an emulator being developed by Nintendo Europe Research and Development were originally leaked to 4Chan, codenamed Hioyo for Game Boy software and Sloop for Game Boy Advance emulation.another twitter user named RatgorlHunter uploads alleged camera footage The emulators are up and running on the Switch, although their accounts have been deleted.

On top of that, Pokemon and game leak accounts Cowpea and Leek Tell Kotaku that the emulator is currently only available for the Switch dev kit. As for the games that can be simulated on the software, dozens of games have been tested so far, including some classic Nintendo titles and hidden gems. The list of leaks discovered by VGC includes:

Rumors of a Game Boy and Game Boy Advance virtual console for the Switch have been circulating since last year, although Nintendo has yet to confirm its existence. The Switch currently has several retro consoles and games — the NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, and N64 — as part of Nintendo’s regular and premium subscription offerings. The Nintendo 3DS used to have access to the Game Boy Virtual Console, although the Game Boy Advance had much less exposure in the years after it was replaced by the Nintendo DS.
While 10 games were offered when the handheld console was first introduced as part of the 3DS Ambassador Program, and the GBA Virtual Console was available on the Wii U, the best option for playing GBA games with more modern hardware is through enthusiasts Equipment, such as a handheld analog pocket or Hyperkin console that plugs directly into your TV – if you still have the original cart, that’s it.
