PlayStation wins big at BAFTA 2022

PlayStation games have won numerous awards at this year’s BAFTA Game Awards, with Housemarque’s Returnal winning Best Game.
In addition to Returnal, Insomniac’s Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart won Best Animation and Technical Achievement, while Returnal added Audio Achievement, Music and Best Acting for Jane Perry’s portrayal of Selene.
Outside of Sony’s dominance, Hazelight’s It Takes Two took home awards for best original property and best multiplayer game, while No Man’s Sky took home the title of best evolutionary game at the BAFTAs. The delightfully captivating Unpacking earned the honor of being named Public Game of the Year and earned recognition for its narrative.
Launched on PS5 last year, Returnal has won critical acclaim across the media for its dark sci-fi theme and challenging gameplay. Currently, the game has expanded with the massive Ascension update. This free expansion adds co-op and a new Sisyphean endless mode to the roguelike third-person shooter. You can view the full list of Bafta Gaming Awards winners below.
