Sega Mega Drive Mini 2 released in Japan with over 50 games

Sega showed off its new mini-game console, the Mega Drive Mini 2. It includes over 50 games from the Megadrive (Sega Genesis) and Mega CD (Sega CD) catalogs.
The list of confirmed titles so far is:
Sega Genesis:
- Bonanza Brothers
- fantasy zone
- Magical Taruru
- shine in the dark
- Thunder Four
- virtual racing
Sega Disc
- Hidden Soul Building
- popular mail
- Radiant Power CD
- Silverfield
- Sonic the Hedgehog CD
It’s worth noting that the original Fantasy Zone was never released on Mega Drive. What the mini-console gets here is actually a new port based on the Super Fantasy Zone sequel.
The Mega Drive 2 Mini will be released in Japan on October 27, but there is no word on an international release yet. The mini console costs 9,980 yen, or about $75.
The first Mega Drive Mini was released in 2019. In our Mega Drive Mini review, we said: “So there are some issues with the Mini, and for M2 fans it might be a little disappointing to see it fall short of the team’s most ambitious retro-style past projects, but for the most part Next, the Mini is a very satisfying little console.”
