Zack Snyder Releases First Photos From Netflix’s ‘Rebel Moon,’ His Star Wars-Inspired Movie
Director Zack Snyder gives a brief look at his upcoming sci-fi film Rebel Moon, which will premiere exclusively on Netflix. Snyder originally proposed the script as a stand-alone Star Wars film more than a decade ago, but when Disney bought Lucasfilm, the idea was scrapped and put on hold to this day.
Snyder shows off his new photo Twitter The first day of show shooting included a black-and-white close-up of Djimon Hounsou’s character General Titus, as well as some sort of ramp entrance that Snyder fans have already compared to similar footage in Justice League.
Rebel Moon will tell the story of a peaceful colony at the end of the galaxy that sends a mysterious young woman to recruit Space Marines who will fight a tyrannical dictator named Barisarius, who will be led by Rupert Friend (Rupert Friend) plays and can also be seen playing the Grand Inquisitor in the upcoming Obi-Wan series.
Joining Friend and Hounsou are Charlie Hunnam, Doona Bae, Jena Malone, Cary Elwes, Corey Stoll, Staz Nair, E. Duffy, Charlotte Maggi, Sky Yang, and Snyder alumni Ray Fisher and Stuart Martin from Netflix’s Legion of the Dead – Close Thieves Corps.
A release date for Rebel Moon has yet to be announced.
