Zelda Breath of the Wild 2 details may have been revealed by Darukh’s Italian voice actor
Pietro Ubaldi, the voice of Daruk, the Italian voice of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, may have accidentally revealed some new details about the upcoming sequel.
Given that Nintendo has always been cautious about sharing any details of the game, including the title, content embedded below the video could be considered spoilers, so consider warning yourself.
In an interview with fan site Lega Hyrule (via Eurogamer), Ubaldi revealed that he has recorded new lines for Breath of the Wild 2, returning not only to Daruk’s role, but to the ancestors of the Goron champion.
This has led fans to speculate that the ancestors of other Hyrulian heroes – Revali, Mipha and Urbosa – may be encountered in Breath of the Wild 2, although there is no word on whether the ancient heroes will make an appearance in the flashbacks or a completely different time period.
Theories online state that Breath of the Wild 2 takes place thousands of years before the original game, allowing players to experience Ganondorf’s fall, which begins a cycle of heroes fighting the corrupt Ganon that happens every game. The idea is that the 10,000-year-old hero teased in the previous trailer is Ganondorf, and the hero with the broken arm in this game is also Ganondorf.
There’s even been discussion that Breath of the Wild 2 could be the rumoured launch game for the Nintendo Switch Pro console, though that’s probably unlikely as Nintendo is reportedly expecting a drop in hardware sales this year due to a global chip shortage. While Nintendo has been mum on story details, the studio revealed that Breath of the Wild 2 will also take place on land and in the sky in Hyrule.
