Amazon’s MMORPG Lost Ark will get three new regions at launch

📱

The Lost Ark release date is fast approaching. Ahead of the MMORPG’s arrival in the West early next month, developer Smilegate RPG and publisher Amazon Games have revealed a slew of new features and changes, including three new regions to explore.

The first of these, unavailable during the closed beta, will take players to the Yorn region of Arkesia. Here, as the developers explain, you’ll “find yourself going underground to the home of the Omar race – a group of dwarves who live deep beneath what appears to be a barren land”. The Omar people include artisans known for their handicrafts, which are reflected in the region’s intricate architecture. There will be new quests, bosses, dungeons of chaos, and “more” to be found here. The details are pretty clear at the moment, but it sounds like you’ll have a lot to throw at it.

Meanwhile, Feiton Continent is a place you might find “a little…not so popular,” teased the developer. The land was poisoned during a previous conflict called Chain Wars – a situation that continues to shape the land even now. The area is inhabited by a half-human half-demon known as the Delains, who are ruled by the “discreet control” of a powerful Assassin group known as the Avesta.

And finally Punica. The area is a “tropical and magical” place, with “a lot to explore and experience, from the beauty of nature to the festivals hosted by the residents”. There’s a place called Nia Village that’s “vibrant,” and Starstand Beach is full of colorful sand. Sounds like a great vacation spot, really.

You need to be on the lookout for Punica’s wildlife, though, as “strange things” seem to be happening to them. The developers won’t explain more, so right now it’s a bit of a mystery what this “thing” actually is. They did say, however, that Punica is home to new quests and bosses, and its addition at launch means that when The Lost Ark debuts, more late-game content will also be included, including ” Limited T3 Content”.

The team has been hard at work preparing for next month’s launch!

“T3 gear will be available at launch, along with some core T3 dungeons to support proper progression, including Well of Oreha (Dungeon of the Abyss), Chaos Dungeon Stage 3, and Velganos Guardian Raid,” the Lost Ark team explained. In addition to that, the combat level cap has been raised to 60 for release, while more late-game content will appear some time after release “to set the pace for player progression in terms of new content and optimal difficulty” .
