Apex Legends: Mad Maggie’s abilities revealed
Apex Legends’ newest saga releases on February 8 with Season 12, and we’re finally getting a glimpse of what she’ll be able to do in Outland.
Today’s Defiance trailer shows our first impressions of Mad Maggie in the game, but her official character sheet on EA’s website reveals everything we need to know about the punk rock rebel, including a full explanation of her abilities . It looks like she’s poised to shake things up by giving defensive legends plenty of counter-attacks.

Here’s the full list of Mad Maggie’s abilities:
Passive: Wrath of the Warlord
- Temporarily highlight your damaged enemies and use your shotgun to move faster.
Mad Maggie’s passive appearance gives her some aggressive scouting opportunities, and coupled with the quick movement of her shotgun, she’s likely to be a formidable melee fighter.
Tactics: Riot drills
- Fires a drill that burns enemies through obstacles.
Mad Maggie’s tactical abilities seem to be strong against opponents trying to heal behind the door, and should be a pain in the ass for Rampart players as it can burn through her walls as well.
Ultimate: Wrecking Ball
- Throws a ball that releases the acceleration pad and detonates near enemies.
Mad Maggie’s ultimate ability combines some AOE disorientation with some faster teammate movement, putting her in the same category as other similarly aggressive legendaries like Octane and Ash.
The Defiance trailer also showcases the ever-evolving Bloodhound skin, as well as an explanation of this season’s limited-time mode Control, which sees the two teams respawn in a 9v9 matchup.
Apex Legends Season 12 kicks off on February 8.
