Decent League of Legends players will get exclusive skins

You’ll soon get an exclusive League of Legends skin because you’re an overall swell guy. Riot Games has laid out measures to combat toxicity in the popular MOBA game, some of which involve rewarding good players rather than simply punishing bad players.
If you reach level 5 in Honors next season, you’ll get a new skin as part of the end-of-season rewards, as well as a new special recall VFX. Riot is keeping mum about what the skin will actually look like, so sit back and get more info. If you’re out of the loop, Riot initially introduced an honor system to encourage positive behavior. You can get praise in the game for being nice, leading a team positively, or just being cool. Earning these Commendations will allow you to move up the ranks, eventually earning specific rewards.
“A behavior system shouldn’t just punish bad players, but reward good players,” said Hana Dinh, product lead for behavior systems. “When we first released Honor 2.0 in 2018, it was the first reward system of its kind, and we saw an amazing response from all of you. But over the past few years, we have failed to update it and have not meet your expectations.”
Dinh also said that the team is imposing penalties on players who are reported to be abusive on the championship selection screen. Although Riot added the ability to report players in 2020, the penalties are only rolling in now.
“Another area where you lose confidence is the championship selection report,” Dinh said. “While we have been following these reports, we have not punished them accordingly as promised.
“The hero pick report is only about 3.2% of today’s reports, but we know your experience in various parts of the game still matters. I’m excited to share that we’re linking penalties to the hero pick report, and you’ll soon be see updates in a patch.”
In other news, League of Legends’ patch 12.6 is currently on the PTR and includes some pretty gorgeous Anima Squad skins.
