Dragon Age 4 has ‘no chance’ to launch in 2022, multiple sources report

BioWare occasionally provides some information about an as-yet-unnamed fourth Dragon Age game, but don’t take that to mean we’ll get a release date this year. Multiple reliable insiders have reported that the new Dragon Age won’t arrive in 2022, and is actually more likely to launch in late 2023.
“Dragon Age 4 is ‘impossible’ to release in 2022,” said freelance writer Tom Henderson in a tweet(Henderson, best known for Battlefield leaks, recently revealed Quantic Dream’s Star Wars game months before the official announcement.)
Henderson’s report was backed up by reporter Jeff Grubb, who reiterated his earlier coverage of Dragon Age’s 2023 release plans, saying the game is at least a full year away. A summer 2023 release “is the earliest possible time frame for Dragon Age 4 to be released, even if it’s a vague hope rather than a real goal.” Grubb said the game has not been delayed, “EA has long known that BioWare wasn’t ready for 2022. Prepare”.
In addition to his coverage of Dragon Age 4, Henderson also said EA expects Criterion’s new Need for Speed to launch this fall, Jedi: Fallen Order sequel is May 4 announcement before Q4 2022 release, and EA is considering various options, including free-to-play, A response to the poor performance of Battlefield 2042.
I’m sure the release date for Dragon Age 4 will come someday. Meanwhile, there are plenty of RPG games to choose from.
