Dragon Age producer leaves, but “blueprint is easy to understand”

Dragon Age 4, or whatever it ends up being called, made its official debut back in 2018, though according to insiders, development recently restarted to create a fully single-player game. Either way, new information is sparse, and today BioWare provided an update — along with news of the senior leaving the team.
Executive producer Christian Dailey is leaving BioWare. “The next Dragon Age is in our hands,” Daly tweeted. “Looking forward to rooting for the team and playing as a fan. Follow my friends for the latest and greatest going forward.” In a follow-up, Dailey added, “The Dragon Age team is killing it, and this This game is already in amazing hands. Don’t fall for the hate. Lots of positivity, can’t wait for when they can share more.”
As the developers explained in a blog post, the new Dragon Age has completed the concept and pre-production stages of development and is now “in production.” “Our blueprint was completed last year, so we’re now focused on building our vision: creating stunning environments, deep characters, strong gameplay, impactful writing, emotional films — and more. The blueprint for games It’s very understandable and the team is very focused.”
There aren’t many specific new details here, but “later this year, you’ll start hearing more from the Dragon Age team in the form of blogs and social content.”

Meanwhile, the Mass Effect team is “actively prototyping new ideas and experiences. AAA next-gen games take a long time to make — we know our fans will probably want them sooner. But our first priority must be It’s quality, and that just takes time to get right.”
Dragon Age 4’s release date is still a long way off — internal reports currently suggest the game is on track for an initial 2023 release — and it sounds like the new Mass Effect is further along.
