Want to play Dying Light 2 co-op with your friends? Techland’s latest survival horror game gives players the option to play almost the entire campaign with a few of their buddies. If you want to play Dying Light 2 with friends who own the Epic Games Store version, things are a little more complicated. First, if you haven’t already, You must create an Epic Games Store account To play with someone on the Epic version, even if you’re on Steam.

Once you have one, make sure to link your Epic account to your Steam account and make sure you and your partner are friends on Epic.

Here’s how to log into your Epic account while running Dying Light 2 on Steam:

  • Reach a point in the game where cooperation is possible, as described above
  • Pause the game and click the “Sign in with Epic Games” button
  • Once logged into your Epic account, you can invite your friends through the online menu in Dying Light 2 and accept invitations, but using the Epic Games social interface (Shift + F3) instead of the Steam interface
