Dying Light 2 Has a Cyberpunk 2077 Easter Egg

⌨️

If you’ve played Cyberpunk 2077, you may have stumbled upon one of these weapons during your Dying Light 2 parkour adventure. If you play it right, you can get a special pair of knuckle dusters, called Cyberhands 2177, that look like the Mantis Blades from the cyberpunk game.

To get them, you need to take the elevator to the top of the VNC tower after completing the broadcast story mission. After exiting the elevator on the roof, you need to turn left and zoom the green metal structure for a better view. You should notice two mossy skyscrapers smaller than the VNC tower. Use your glider to reach the closer of the two and glide to the next.

Once you get to the roof of that building, you should find a person standing by a campfire known as the “Liquidator”. He’ll mention “here and there” before telling you he left you something. You should then see a cache on the left before the mysterious NPC is gone forever. Open them to get the Cyberhands 2177 blueprint. It’s worth noting, though, that NPCs seem to disappear if you complete the main quest. Make sure to grab the weapon after completing the broadcast mission so you don’t miss it.

If you want a more intuitive explainer, here’s a nice synopsis video:

We ourselves had a great time with Techland’s latest game. We gave the zombie game a 6 out of 10 in our Dying Light 2 review, praising its “excellent parkour and combat mechanics.” We weren’t too interested in the story, although it was fun to jump around with good friends.

The devs have had quite a few bugs to fix since release, but the good news is we got another Dying Light 2 bug patch this week, so it should run a lot more smoothly now.
