Dying Light 2 has a fix for unstable co-op connections

🖥️

A patch for the new co-op game Dying Light 2, launched less than 24 hours ago, has been released. This small patch is intended to address issues players are experiencing when playing co-op – specifically unreliable connections and inability to join other players in the game. The team says it’s also working on fixing the Techland website, where players who pre-order Dying Light 2 must go to redeem their in-game rewards.

“There are two things we’re most concerned about: disconnects in co-op and issues with redeeming rewards, codes and other in-game content, including Twitch Drops from TechlandGG,” the Techland community manager said in a Steam forum post earlier today , February 4. “Our team is working on it. We’ll keep you informed of the progress.”

After about five hours, a patch is ready to download. Techland says it should improve the stability of co-op connections, but advises players to close and restart Steam after downloading the patch “just in case”. The patch itself is about 260MB, so you won’t have to wait long once it’s in the queue.

Plus, it’s hard for players to get pre-order bonuses through Techland’s website. These include the curved cavalry sword “Hussars,” and to get them you’ll need to set up an account on Techland’s website, link it to the platform where you bought the game, and enter a special code from the main menu.

This process doesn’t work right now – the sheer number of Dying Light 2 players may have overwhelmed Techland’s server capacity. In any case, there is currently no way to link your Techland.gg account with Steam or Epic, but the developer says a fix is in the works. So don’t worry: you’ll be sliced and diced with Hussar infection in no time.
