Dying Light 2’s post-launch roadmap confirms multiple paid story expansions
Techland’s plans for Dying Light 2 have a new roadmap that includes multiple “story DLC,” at least one of which is scheduled to launch later this year. Additionally, the developer says it plans to add challenges and limited-time events “at least five years” after the upcoming Dying Light 2 release date.
The rough roadmap released today includes a rough estimate of when we can expect Dying Light 2 content to arrive after launch. In February, shortly after the game’s release, we’ll see “Faction-inspired free DLC,” which appears to be a new outfit for players who want a little extra.
In March, a series of initial challenges will arrive, which may include creative enemy handling and chains of morbid parkour tricks. In April, a so-called “series of events” will begin, which will involve special “mutated infected people” – and when it does, the hobbling human monsters walking the streets could become even more dangerous. The second set of challenges will expire in early May.
Whether you spend 20 hours or 500 hours on Dying Light 2’s main story, there’s more to come. The first paid story DLC expansion is on the new roadmap in early June, and Techland says a second is also planned.

The roadmap says we can also expect more weapons, new enemies, more stories, events, and more free and paid DLC to be added to the game over the next five years. If the original Dying Light is any guide, Techland will likely live up to its word.
