Euro Truck Simulator 2 devs prove Russia’s roads are better than you think

Euro Truck Simulator 2 is heading to the heart of Russia in its next DLC pack called “Heart of Russia”. Now, Russia is a huge country, so you might expect a lot of dirt roads and other poorly maintained roads – but the developers at SCS Software want you to know that the roads are much better than that.

In their latest blog, the developers said: “While Russia may be known for its well-used roads, the truth is that most major road connections for trucking are in good condition; especially around major cities like Moscow, which are well maintained. Good. One type of highways that drivers often find themselves driving are the Russian Federation highways, which are owned and maintained by the government because of their regional and inter-city importance to the country and the economy.”

The developers plan to create “better ratios between local roads and highways” as smaller roads still “make up the bulk of Russia’s road network”. You can also expect to find quite a few dirt roads! “
