Eve to start shipping glossy gaming monitors in June

The Glossy gaming monitor just got a release date, and Eve expects to have the first wave of shiny new monitors in three months. Pre-orders are live now, so you can be one of the first PC gamers to see for yourself the deeper blacks and sharper text that LG’s new polarizers have to offer—be careful where you put your Yeelight, Nanoleaf or Govee RGB lights, as it more reflective.

Take control of your inner Philip J. Fry, because there are a few things you need to know before you start throwing money at the screen. Glossy polarizers are available as an add-on for an additional $99 to compensate for the extra labor and development costs involved. That pushes the price of the Eve Spectrum 4K 144Hz to $898 without the stand and $997 with the stand.

The coating is also an option on the currently unpriced 1440p 280Hz model, but since this is still in development, the established 4K version has been given priority to ship. Those still waiting for the Eve Spectrum have a chance to upgrade their existing orders with the new gloss.

However, if that appeals to you, you might want to hurry, as the first batch is limited to just 1,000 people, and 1,417 people are interested in a community poll to start this journey. Those who voted in the polls even got a $25 coupon to add to the deal’s appeal.

The new monitors are only available on the Eve Devices website. If you want to know more before buying, check out our Eve Spectrum 4K 144Hz review. In short: If you’re in the market for a new monitor, it might be worth checking out.
