Expedition: Rome will not be affected ‘in any way or form’ by founder’s NFT plans

A month ago, the founders of Logic Artists — the studio behind the Expeditions series, including the newly released Expeditions: Rome — announced that they had raised $5 million to develop blocks at a new company called Dynasty Studios chain game. A report from VentureBeat suggests that with the launch of Rome, “Logic Artists will wind down and its employees will join Dynasty Studios”.
Responding to the concerns of fans on the official Steam forums, publisher THQ Nordic’s community manager stated that “this does not affect Rome or THQ Nordic in any way or form, nor in any plans that may exist now or in the future”. A member of the Expeditions: Rome development team added that “not everyone involved in Expeditions: Rome will join a dynasty”, noting that “The Expeditions series has been owned by THQ Nordic since before development began in Rome. The creation of a dynasty does not affect Rome. support and will not affect DLC plans.”
THQ Nordic acquired the rights to the Expeditions IP in 2018, which at the time included Conquerors, Vikings, and a then-unannounced third game, which was being developed in partnership with the publisher and Logic Artists.
