Final Fantasy 6 Remake beats the famous train

The greatest moment in any Final Fantasy game is undoubtedly the highly sought-after Final Fantasy VI train supplex, but unfortunately this month’s upcoming Pixel Remaster seems to have ruined that wonderful moment – and to make matters worse, Square Air The Knicks are promoting it.

Earlier this week, it was revealed that Final Fantasy VI Pixel Remaster would launch on February 23rd – first by accident, then correctly confirmed by Square Enix. It’s been delayed several times, but now it looks like it’s finally coming out, and the first screenshots seem promising.

Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters offers “all-new graphics” in a remastered retro pixel style, so fans are hoping for a step up from previous remasters. Square Enix tweeted today that the famous Ghost Train boss from Final Fantasy VI received Sabine’s scam – however, it wasn’t the victory the publisher was hoping for, as fans quickly discovered everything Nothing is wrong with the famous wrestling moves.

As you can see in the video below, Sabin still takes the train out of the screen and slams it to the ground, but the train keeps going in the right direction all the time. In suplex, opponents should end up on their backs – that’s what happened in the original SNES version, as the train flipped on its way back. It’s funnier and more accurate than the name “suplex” in the new version, it just doesn’t feel right.

Shouldn’t the train sprite be upside down?

The train supplex is truly one of Final Fantasy’s greatest moments, so hopefully this oversight will be ironed out as we get closer to the February 23rd Final Fantasy VI Pixel Remaster’s release date.
